This watch comes with its original Rolex Certificate dated 2005. It even has the original Rolex outer box where it is printed meteorite dial showing that this how the watch came from factory and was not fitted at a later date.
METEORITE ROLEX FULL
This watch is a full set and will come with everything as photographed. Rolex do not make a Rolex Daytona with meteorite dial, making this watch extra special. This is a very rare watch which has now been discontinued. Unfortunately the photos have not been able to do justice to the dial in this watch, which in person is out of this world. This watch is in mint condition as you can see from the photos. Like the sports cars of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the Rolex caliber 4130 is a high-performance machine in every sense.
METEORITE ROLEX UPGRADE
More than an upgrade of the previous Zenith-based Daytona movement, Rolex's in-house caliber features a shock-resistant full balance bridge, silky-smooth vertical clutch chronograph engagement, and Rolex's unique Parachrom Blue antimagnetic hairspring. Many watchmakers hail this mechanism as a gold standard in its own right it is reliable, robust, easy to service, and packs a superb 72-hour power reserve. Inside this original work of white gold art beats a Rolex in-house caliber 4130 chronometer chronograph. As a result of its proprietary alloy research, Rolex is able to produce white gold that does not require rhodium plating to achieve its platinum-like luster. No other watchmaker controls the process of watch fabrication down to the level of basic metallurgy the way Rolex does. Rolex gold is the watch industry's "gold standard.” The Geneva superpower develops and smelts its gold in the company's private foundry. Rolex arrests the oxidation of its meteorite dials before the process takes hold, and each Cosmograph Daytona 116519MT will retain its unblemished beauty until long after the owner himself stops “ticking.” And Rolex’s own superlative white gold compounds the impact of the raw iron dial. Given iron’s natural proclivity to oxidize and fade the moment it is exposed to moisture-laden air, few individuals outside of materials science labs and metallurgical trades ever have the pleasure of seeing what the Rolex meteorite owner will enjoy daily. Each Rolex meteorite dial represents naturally formed iron as it is rarely seen – with its metallic luster and crystal structure intact.

For that reason, the exquisite crystalline metallic meteorite dial will remain an occasional offering from Rolex and a grail-level acquisition for the brand’s most passionate collectors. Now a protected national heritage property, the Hoba meteorite and its debris field cannot be exported once Rolex exhausts its supply, there will be no more. All Rolex meteorite dials are cut from the company’s finite supply of material salvaged from Namibia’s Hoba meteorite. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 18K White gold with rare Rolex meteorite dial, and this motorsports-bred Rolex Daytona 116519MT becomes the ultimate Daytona.
